Brooke blogs about 2008! What a year it has been!
Posted by Steph on December 31, 2008 | Filed under: News

Brooke has blogged once again! She reflects on the amazing year it has been. It was just less than a year ago that we first saw Brooke’s audition on Idol and I think we are all amazed by what a wonderful and crazy year it has been.

It’s a rather long blog so here’s a snippet…

There is one more day left in the year 2008…. absolutely unbelievable. I think it is safe to say this has been one of the most, if not the most eventful year of my life. In some ways it’s hard to believe that the last 364 days have come and gone as quickly as it seemed, and it other ways, it seems like certain parts of it were ages ago. It was just around this time last year that we were quite literally gearing up to do the show… all the feelings of anxiousness, anticipation, trepidation and excitement of what was to come. Wow, it’s a good thing I had no idea, maybe I would have backed out, as there is nothing  that can adequately prepare you for that experience. However that being said, I would definitely do it again if I had to. It was fun, and it was hard. Now I think about those people who are about to embark on that journey, I certainly wish them well and give them this bit of encouragement… hang on.

Read the rest of the blog HERE. It’s definitely worth a read!
If you can’t access it through MySpace, you can read the full thing HERE.

I hope everyone has a Happy New Year! Cheers to great things for Brooke in 2009!

Merry Christmas

Brooke Blogs and Vlogs! - (12/17/08)
Posted by Kamille on December 17, 2008 | Filed under: News

Brooke finally vlogs again, this time about feeling sad with having to say goodbye to her baby piano. And she sings a great little ditty for us!

Good Morning-ish! I guess it’s not quite noon. Today has been interesting thus far. You see there was this old baby grand piano that I have had the privilege of having in my living room for quite a while, it never really belonged to me, but I took care of it like it were my own while the owner had no place for it… and I was in need of a piano. Well the time has come to send the piano back. This morning the piano movers came to take it away, and so I woke up and decided to go down and play it one last time…

I suppose I am feeling a bit sentimental about it… music is my therapy, so I’ve spent many hours sitting at the piano, working out my “feelings” happy, sad and everything in between… feelings that turn into songs. As I mentioned the piano was old, worn with chipped keys and it was out of tune, but it still had a lovely soul, and I am surely grateful for the time I had with it.

Good news is, Like “they” say, “whenever a door closes another one opens”. So I guess I just made a big empty space in the corner of my living room for something else to take it’s place. And I will get a new one…It wont be the same, but it will be different. And though different can be hard, it is good, it’s change and change forces us to grow and evolve. While I am a bit sad, I will embrace the next piano to bond with, and discover the songs waiting inside it to be written. Until then here is one last song that just kinda, came to me in my last few minutes before the piano was loaded into the truck. It’s nothing big, just a little ditty to help me remember… kind of a crappy video… sorry

Piano, Goodbye!

Piano Goodbye…

Oh, and a few days ago Brooke also uploaded a holiday playlist, so you can check that out HERE as well.

Happy Holidays everyone!

On Sunday night (December 14th), Brooke and Carly were in Los Angeles at the Kodak Theater performing at an event called LA’s BEST Community Jam Against Violence. They sang a duet, “The Reason,” originally performed by Celine Dion and Carole King.

It was a really great performance so check out these videos of it:

So Brooke was awesome enough to put up a Vlog for us:

Alrighty, here is a little blip from the big apple… this is technically my first Vlog, kinda nerdy… forgive me, it’s a little outdated, I was in New York well over a week ago and I’m finally putting it up, BUT better late than never right?! Enjoy…

Raindrops keep fallin’ on my head…

Tell her how cute/amazing/wonderful she is over on her MySpace, HERE or HERE :)
